About the EzyBill (email delivery) facility

This information is for persons who register to receive the Bundaberg Regional Council Rates and Water Notices and/or Animal Registration via Email (EzyBill).

The following Terms and Conditions apply to the use of the facility to receive the above mentioned Rates and Water Notices and/or Animal Registration including the use of information provided by the facility.

Terms and Conditions

By accessing the facility you agree to the following:

  1. Bundaberg Regional Council has an arrangement with EzyBill to electronically deliver your Rate Notice, Water Notice and Animal Registration Notice (Notice/s) via this facility.
  2. If you choose to use the facility you must first register with, and provide your details to, EzyBill and agree to the EzyBill Terms and Conditions of use.
  3. Upon your request to receive the nominated Rate Notice, Water Notice and Animal Registration Notice(s) via the facility you acknowledge and agree:
    1. You consent for all future Rates Notice, Water Notice and Animal Registration Notice(s) to delivered to you using the facility until Council is notified otherwise;
    2. You are the property/animal owner and/or liable for responding to and making payment of the nominated Rate Notice, Water Notice and Animal Registration Notice(s) and you will share this electronic nominated Rate Notice, Water Notice and Animal Registration Notice(s) with other persons so named as required;
    3. You must advise any person to whom the current paper Rates, Water or Animal Registration Notice are being sent to, that they will no longer receive a paper Rates, Water or Animal Notice as a result of your request. Council will not be responsible for providing this notification;
    4. Consent of any co-owners has been obtained and any co-owners have been made aware of the terms and conditions prior to agreeing to use the facility;
    5. It is your responsibility to ensure all details entered, including the email address, are accurate and current;
    6. To receive the Rate Notice, Water Notice and Animal Registration Notice(s) electronically and recognise that neither a paper copy nor other electronic Rates and Water Notices will continue to be issued;
    7. You will not be charged a fee by Bundaberg Regional Council for accessing a copy of your Rate Notice, Water Notice and Animal Registration Notice(s) in EzyBill;
    8. It may take up to one Rate Notice, Water Notice and Animal Registration Notice(s) cycle for your EzyBill registration to take effect;
    9. By using this facility the Rate Notice, Water Notice and Animal Registration Notice(s) will be deemed to have been delivered, presented, received and viewed by you once it has been received by EzyBill and that you will not otherwise receive these Rate Notice, Water Notice and Animal Registration Notice(s);
    10. If you cease to own the property/move from the property you will need to unsubscribe your EzyBill registration for that property. Bundaberg Regional Council will cancel your registration for the property when advised of a change of ownership on the title to the property;
    11. If you wish to change the email address to which the Notice(s) are to be provided, you must update, and keep updated the email address for the delivery for the notices as registered in EzyBill;
    12. Bundaberg Regional Council is not responsible for any delivery delays or failures by the facility;
    13. It is your responsibility to contact Council to obtain a Rates Notice, Water Notice and Animal Registration Notice(s) should such notices not be received and to ensure payment by the due date;
    14. Bundaberg Regional Council has the right to cease the arrangement to deliver Rate Notice, Water Notice and Animal Registration Notice(s) via EzyBill at which time the Rate Notice, Water Notice and Animal Registration Notice(s) will be sent as paper copies by post;
    15. You may unsubscribe for this facility at any time but you may continue to receive Rate Notice, Water Notice and Animal Registration Notice(s) in your EzyBill for up to 30 days after you have unsubscribed while we process your request.
    16. Not all communications from Bundaberg Regional Council will utilise EzyBill, you will still receive paper communications by post for other official communications.
  4. The information available from this facility (which includes downloadable material) is subject to copyright and is protected by laws of Australia and other countries through international treaties.
  5. Bundaberg Regional Council will give you notice of these changes by publishing new terms and conditions of use available through EzyBill. Bundaberg Regional Council will not separately notify you of these changes.
